The Personal Development Program (PDP) is one of the highlights of Genesis Green School, and one of the most anticipated activities in this program are the experiential learning trips. This week, Genee students from Grade R to Grade 3 had the exciting opportunity to visit the Bát Tràng Pottery Museum, where they explored and learned about subjects like Vietnamese, History, and Art.
The children’s eyes were filled with curiosity and excitement as they listened to the museum guides share historical stories, observed the whimsical and colorful pottery pieces, and admired the unique architecture of this traditional craft village. It turned out that each displayed piece carried its own meaning and offered valuable lessons.
What made this trip even more special was the chance for the children to create their own pottery pieces. Starting with a small lump of clay, our “little artisans” carefully shaped and molded it on the spinning wheel, striving to create fun and quirky ceramic products. This process truly required the skill and finesse of an artisan. While their clothes may have gotten a bit messy, the Genee students thoroughly enjoyed the hands-on experience.
