Reflecting on the second day of the Genesis Debating Championship, the atmosphere was charged with determination and readiness in every debate room. For teams that performed well on the first day, Round 4 was an opportunity to solidify their standings. Meanwhile, for the remaining teams, this round was their chance to make a comeback and advance to the semifinals.
At the end of Round 4, the top two teams in both the Junior and Open categories advanced directly to the semifinals, while the remaining four teams competed for the last spots. In this round, participants not only had to persuade the judges but also dismantle their opponents’ arguments. The sharp rebuttals and well-structured reasoning created an electrifying and tense atmosphere.
As the competition progressed, the motions required broader knowledge on topics such as sports, society, and philosophy. The intensity and fierceness of the debates were evident in every match. Contestants displayed exceptional debating skills, from delivering impressive opening statements and presenting convincing evidence to making powerful counterarguments. Each point was meticulously analyzed, leaving the audience in awe.
The finals were the pinnacle of intensity, with PAL and The Golden Snakes competing in the Junior category, and N3L and HTN battling it out in the Open category. The heated debates, challenging questions from the judges, and dramatic rebuttals made the competition thrilling until the very end. Contestants showcased their logical thinking and quick reflexes, creating unforgettable moments for both the audience and the judges.
🏆 After a fierce competition, the championship titles were claimed by The Golden Snakes and N3L. In addition, the top debaters were honored with well-deserved awards:
