Recently, the eighth graders at Genesis had an exciting Green Project lesson centered around the theme of “Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure” (SDG 9). Though this topic may seem unfamiliar, the lively group activities and engaging games transformed the classroom into a vibrant and creative environment.
The Green Project is a unique subject offered exclusively at Genesis, taught in English using a project-based learning approach. In the lesson focused on SDG 9, the students confidently presented their research findings, covering topics from the concept of “industrialization” to how to establish a sustainable industrial sector. Additionally, they analyzed the operations of major corporations like Unilever and Sun Group, with a special focus on Trầm Tuệ – a company that left a strong impression during their experiential learning trip last year. These
presentations not only deepened their understanding of the production processes of large companies but also showcased their research and critical thinking skills.
The final activity was a creative recycling challenge. Groups transformed newspapers, plastic bottles, and cardboard boxes into unique products such as game boxes and maracas. With their dexterous hands and rich imaginations, these young “architects” wowed the entire class with their innovative creations.
Through this lesson, Genees not only expanded their knowledge of SDG 9 but also developed teamwork, creativity, and innovative thinking skills!
>>Let’s look forward to the next wave of unique products from our talented Genees!
