It was an emotional day for the elementary Genees as they spent time learning about and expressing their love and gratitude toward their parents in anticipation of the upcoming Vu Lan festival. Alongside Family Day, Vu Lan is considered one of the most meaningful traditional holidays for Vietnamese children to show their respect and appreciation to their grandparents and parents.
Through the heartfelt stories filled with simple yet powerful messages of family love, like the quiet sacrifices parents make and the little acts of kindness that often go unnoticed, many Genees were touched, some even to tears.
Genees also learned how to express their affection for their parents and grandparents through actions. Whether it was making herbal foot soak s, crafting lapel cards, or writing heartfelt notes on cards, these simple yet meaningful gifts will be shared with their families tonight.
We hope that through these activities, Genees will better understand the hard work of their grandparents and parents and learn to treasure their family’s love. Let’s take a look back at the touching moments from today’s activities together!
