At the Genesis Space and Aeronautics Agency, the young scientists of Rocky S1 class participated in a Shape Universe research project filled with fascinating and humorous explorations.
To prepare for their space journey, the young scientists started with a song about shapes. Lively melodies, squares, triangles, rectangles, etc seemed to dance with the little ones. After warming up their spirits, the young astronauts were divided into teams: Team Triangle, Team Square, and Team Rectangle. Each team was ready to explore special space missions with curiosity and eagerness.
In the first mission, the Genees were assigned to find treasures that matched their team’s shape hidden in the classroom. Through this mission, the Genees honed their observational skills and discovered geometric treasures beside them without their knowing!
After completing the treasure hunt, the young scientists moved on to the challenge of building a house out of wooden sticks and clay. This house was filled with squares, triangles, and rectangles—the shape planets familiar in the universe they were studying. Not only did they create a sturdy house, but the young astronauts also had lively debates about whether a roof must be triangular or if it could be something else.
The research session concluded with the unique space rocket creation designed by the kids based on familiar shapes. Which planet might these rockets explore? Let’s make our guesses together!
