Interdisciplinary learning around a central theme is a key feature of the International Primary Curriculum (IPC). The recent showcase marking the end of the “Living together” unit gave the 2IPC class a chance to reinforce their knowledge and skills through fun activities, with the participation of their parents.
The showcase began with two Genees stepping into the role of “little teachers,” confidently guiding the class through different areas of knowledge. The highlight of the session was when the classroom was transformed into a “mini town” with services like car washes, coffee shops, ice cream stands, doctor’s offices, hair salons, and bookstores. In their roles as “employees,” the students happily served their “customers”—their parents. These activities not only helped the students practice real-life skills and communication but also taught Genee the value of living together and respecting others.
