Through the collaboration between the Genesis community, the Sống Xanh Charity Fund, and Capital House Group, the total amount raised to support people affected by Typhoon Yagi has reached 400 million VND. Ms. Đỗ Thùy Chi, Founder of Genesis Education System, Chairwoman of the Management Council, and Director of the Sống Xanh Charity Fund, received the donations from representatives of parents, students, and teachers on October 10th.
After coordinating with the localities affected by the floods and storms, Genesis is pleased to announce to parents, teachers, and the entire Genee community the allocation of the charitable fund for post-Yagi typhoon relief efforts as follows:
Total donations from the Genesis community, Sống Xanh Charity Fund, and Capital House Group: 400 million VND.
Repair and upgrade of Khu Chu Phìn campus at Sàng Ma Sáo Kindergarten, Bát Xát District, Lào Cai Province: 200 million VND. This fund will help the local community repair leaking ceilings and re-roof the building to ensure the safety of students when they return to school.
Support for the kitchen and students in need at Nga Quán Kindergarten and Primary School, Y Can No. 1 Primary and Secondary School, and Đào Thịnh Primary and Secondary School; funds will also be used to purchase teaching equipment for students at Sao Mai Kindergarten (Trấn Yên, Yên Bái): 200 million VND.
Currently, the rough roads and mountainous terrain are causing difficulties in transportation and construction work. However, with the support of local authorities, the schools will receive maximum assistance from the government and the community.
