This year, Genesis School is proud to announce that our chosen Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) focus is SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being – a vital foundation for every child to thrive in school and in life.
What is SDG 3?
SDG 3 is about ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for people of all ages. At Genesis, we believe that physical, emotional, and mental health are key pillars of education – and we’re bringing this goal to life across our whole community.
Why it matters in Vietnam and in our school:
In a fast-paced world filled with screens, academic pressure, and limited green space, focusing on well-being is more important than ever – especially for young students. In Vietnam, where rapid development is shaping the future, it’s essential to also prioritize healthy habits, balance, and kindness to self and others.
What we’ll be doing this year:
– Mindful Meditation: weekly moments to pause, breathe, and reset together.
– Active Play, Every Day: outdoor movement, dance breaks, and physical fun for all ages.
– Healthy Eating Campaigns: exploring local fruits and veggies, smart food swaps, and sustainable school lunch ideas.
– Kindness Counts Projects: building emotional wellness through empathy, gratitude, and peer support.
Together, we’ll be building a school culture where health is not just about avoiding illness – it’s about energy, joy, and balance and well being.
Join us on this meaningful journey toward a healthier, happier, and more sustainable Genesis School.
Because when we care for ourselves and each other, we all grow stronger.
