With the desire to create an English academic platform with an internationally standardized format, comparable to prestigious competitions such as the Asian English Olympics, Genesis School, in collaboration with VADP, is organizing the GEM competition categories:

  • Language: English
  • Format: Simplified World Schools Debating Championship (WSDC) rules.
  • Number of teams: 40 teams (3 debaters per match).
  • Junior Division (Grade 5–6): 20 teams
  • Senior Division (Grade 7–8): 20 teams
  • Team size: Minimum 3 members, maximum 5 members.
  • Participation fee: 650,000 VND per student.

      • Preliminary round: Prepared Story, Narration
      • Knockout rounds:
        • Quarterfinals: Each contestant will be given a series of images or sound cues. As the images or sounds change, the contestant must adapt and shift their story accordingly.
        • Semifinals: Contestants must craft and complete their story based on three random prompts drawn during the round.
        • Finals: The organizing committee will begin with a short story introduction. The first contestant must continue the story. At any point, a bell will ring, signaling the next contestant to pick up the narrative exactly where the previous one left off.
    • Participation fee: 350,000 VND per student
