“If Earth is our home, then every creature is a friend sharing the same roof.”
With that spirit, the young learners of Grade 1IPC embarked on a fascinating journey through their project “The Earth – Our Home.” From lush rainforests to deep oceans, from the icy Arctic to vast grasslands – every corner of the planet holds life and tells a story worth discovering.
During the showcase, students confidently took turns presenting six major animal habitats: Rainforest – Forest – Desert – Arctic – Ocean – Grassland. Each presentation wasn’t just a collection of facts, but a heartfelt story, a unique perspective from the curious eyes of a child.
Alongside the stage, colorful exploration stations brought learning to life as students role-played and engaged with knowledge hands-on:
- At the “Food chain” station, students arranged the relationships among species with thoughtful logic.
- In “Hibernation & migration”, laughter echoed as animals “packed their bags” to adapt to seasonal changes.
- The “Camouflage & adaptation” station turned into an exciting game of hide and seek, where butterflies and frogs cleverly blended into their surroundings.
- And at a special station: “Cityscapes as habitats”, the city models designed by the Genees told a compelling story: even in modern urban environments, animals can learn to adapt, survive, and thrive together.
Adults may believe children are too young to grasp environmental issues, but the Grade 1IPC showcase proved otherwise: understanding doesn’t come from age—it grows from observation, empathy, and a genuine love for the world around us.
