Primary and Lower Secondary’s Admission Regulations 2024-2025

I.ADMISSION POLICY

  • Regulations for students learning in Genesis Education System

     –  Students learning in the 2023-2024 school year are considered to continue to the next grade in the 2024-2025 school year provided           that the student completes the program of the current grade and the parents complete the fee payment procedures for students             in accordance with the Financial Regulations of the school year 2023-2024 and 2024-2025;

     –  Students who wish to move to another campus will be accepted by the school if that campus has space in the respective grade                 and has an English class suitable for the student’s level.

  • Registration, placement, transition fees :

     –  Students who have just applied for admission or re-enrolled: For primary and Lower Secondary Schools: 2,000,000 VND/time.

     –  Transitioning students:

              . Students transitioning from Kindergarten to Primary School and from Primary School to Lower Secondary School in the                              Genesis Education System will pay a registration fee of VND 10,000,000 VND. Students who do not complete the enrollment fees                as required before July 15, 2024, will not be eligible for the deduction of the previously paid transition fee.

              . This fee is non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances..

II. ADMISSION AGE

For the school year 2024-2025, Genesis School welcomes students with the following age ranges for each grade level:

  • Primary School: students born from 2014 to 2017 (from grade 1 to grade 5)
  • Lower Secondary School: students born from 2011 to 2013 (from grade 6 to grade 8)
  • In case a student is in the age which does not match with the grade, a student will be considered and accepted by the School in accordance with the provisions of the Charter of Primary Schools and High Schools with multiple levels of education.

III.  REGULATION ON NUMBER OF PUPILS

The Genesis Education System sets the limit for number of students as below:

Primary School and Secondary School: 26 students max/class for Bilingual program; 28 students max/class for Integrated program

IV.CONDITIONS FOR ENTRY REGISTRATION:

1.  New students register for Genesis School:

  • Students applying for Primary School: academic assessment of Completed or above; capacity and quality assessment of Pass or above.
  • Students applying for Lower Secondary School: completed Primary curriculum;  Good conduct and Good academically Good or above in all years of secondary schooling and in semester I if the student enrolls in semester II.
  • Students do not have infectious diseases, do not have dangerous congenital diseases, students do not have special educational needs (due to the current conditions and facilities of the school not meeting special needs).
  • Students who are foreigners living in Vietnam or Vietnamese living abroad will be considered on a case-by-case basis and must comply with the regulations of the Department of Education and Training..

2. Students transferring away from Genesis

  • The school will review the records on a case-by-case basis.

3.Admission formats

  • For Grade 1: Students are assessed on Critical Maths, Critical Language and English (through listening and speaking skills), and interviewed by teachers.
  • For Grade 2, 3, 4, 5: Students are assessed on Maths, Vietnamese, and English (through listening, reading, writing, speaking skills), and interviewed by teachers.
  • For Grade 6, 7, 8: Students are assessed on Maths, Literature, and English (through listening, reading, writing, speaking skills), and interviewed by teachers.

4. Admission time

  • Student admission for new school year: from January to August annually – students start school in August.
  • Student admission for second semester: from November to December annually – students start school in January.
